Enjoy a wonderful experience with our alpacas
Nestled in the heart of Mayfield Valley, our Alpaca Petting Farm and Sanctuary is a tranquil haven for animal lovers of all ages. We have a wide variety of animals and experiences to suit all ages and requirements.
We offer two types of Alpaca experiences as we wish to make this experience available to all. We offer a basic Alpaca experience which lasts for approximately 30 minutes and has a minimum booking requirement of two persons and a maximum of 5 people per booking. These sessions are only £8.95 per person.
During the basic Alpaca experience our trained animal handlers will take you and your group into an Alpaca enclosure and show you how we care and tend for these beautiful creatures. You will walk two of our Alpacas around their field and our farm hand will give you some interesting facts and information about Alpacas throughout the experience.
More in-depth sessions are also available and are 1.5 hours in duration. These experiences include a talk about the animals and a chance to walk a number of the Alpacas around the entire site and an opportunity to feed and groom our furry friends.
The experiences are suitable for all ages but under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Our Alpaca experiences are only suitable for those able to walk on uneven ground. Group sizes are restricted to 5 people per experience. Alpaca experiences must be pre-booked and are charged at £23.00 per person (for the 90 minute experience) with a minimum booking requirement of two persons per booking.

The Alpaca Experience
Get up close with our friendly alpacas! From feeding and grooming to guided mini-walks, our new Alpaca Experience is a magical hands-on adventure for kids and grown-ups alike.
Our primary Alpaca experiences last for 1.5 hours and will see participants meeting a number of our friendly Alpacas, assisting with their feeding and grooming routines and walking at least 2 Alpacas around our tranquil site in the Mayfield Valley in Sheffield.
Participants will be able to touch, feed and walk our Alpacas in a safe and supervised environment. This experience will ensure you learn some fun facts about Alpacas, animal care and farm life. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and junior Alpaca handlers will receive a Junior Alpaca Keeper certificate.

Cost and Booking
Alpaca experiences cost £23 per person with a minimum of 2 people per booking. As with all of our farm experiences, children under 3 years of age will be entitled to free entry.
Alpaca Experiences can be booked from Tuesdays through to Sunday at the times of 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00. During school holidays this experience is available 6 days per week.
